From the Editors desk: Children afflicted by Mitochondrial Disorder are mistreated by almost every agency, from insurance Companies, Department of Family and Children Services, Medicaid, Medicare, Private and Public funded medical facilities, Doctors and Nurses. This is mostly due to the Lack of information and education in this critical area. We at Gentle Interventions hope to promote education to EVERYONE about this terminal disorder, induce medical professionals to learn more about it. Promote Politicians to push for more monies to research Stem Cell programs. It is the opinion of most persons associated with this site, that the cure for this disease lies in Stem Cell research. We in NO way promote abortion, however since voluntary abortion is legal in most states, then "we" believe that the stem cells should be harvested and used for research.
